Torched Laughter Studio Diary: Day 11

Shtuka was well behaved. The violin tracks were quickly done. Thank goodness because I haven’t played it in maybe a year. Hopefully that will not show on the recording. The night was broken up by going over to a friend’s place; tried to help out with some recording basics/software. His band takes breaks to play Guitar Hero. I don’t get the appeal of this game at all. Looks horrifically boring. No one dies. Obviously, I’m missing something. Is it the imaginary tour bus? The `GREAT JOB!’ messages that soothe your ego when you get 50 notes in a row right?

Or is it that nifty Luciferian Minotaur that swings a hammer in the background when you are..ahem…rocking? (I like the hammer-wielding beast actually)

Please enlighten me.

The National Lap Steel was completed very late in the evening. I’ll post some photos this week. The owner of this instrument will be pleased to know this, despite not touching it for 28 years.
